Bio

Mahrokh Mamizadeh Yengejeh is a PhD student in the Materials and Processes Simulation Lab (CeNT), University of Warsaw. Her research focuses on photo(electro)chemical heterogeneous catalysis for CO2 reduction (CO2RR) on two-dimensional organic/conjugated materials, with emphasis on how metal–ligand coordination, electronic structure, and active-site design affect activity and selectivity.

Research interests

  • CO2 reduction (CO2RR) on 2D organic/conjugated frameworks: active-site engineering and structure–activity/selectivity relationships
  • Mechanistic understanding of electro/photo(electro)catalytic processes and rational catalyst design
  • Linking atomic-scale descriptors to measurable electrochemical performance
